SolidWorks for Joinery Design

Smart joinery systems in SolidWorks. Dowels, confirmats, mortise and tenon, dominos, knockdown fittings — modelled as reusable smart components with automated pilot holes. Build a library of production-ready joinery features that you drag and drop into any furniture project.

About This Course

This course teaches you to build smart joinery systems in SolidWorks — dowels, confirmats, mortise and tenon, dominos, and knockdown fittings modelled as reusable smart components. Each joint carries the intelligence to place itself correctly wherever you apply it.

You learn to automate pilot holes and associated geometry so that joints update cleanly as a design changes, and to organise these features into a structured, dependable library. The emphasis throughout is on production readiness rather than one-off modelling.

By the end you have a library of joinery features you can drag and drop into any furniture project — a workflow that saves hours on every job.
