3DP-100 · Beginner to Intermediate
PlannedDesign printable parts, jigs, fixtures, and functional prototypes in SolidWorks. Tolerances for FDM and resin, snap fits, threaded inserts, print-in-place assemblies, watertight geometry, and STL export best practices. A strong entry-level course for makers and prototyping professionals.
About This Course
This course teaches you to design printable parts, jigs, fixtures, and functional prototypes in SolidWorks — modelling with the realities of 3D printing in mind from the first sketch. You learn the tolerances that matter for both FDM and resin processes.
You cover the features that make printed parts work in practice: snap fits, threaded inserts, and print-in-place assemblies. Throughout, you learn to produce watertight geometry and follow STL export best practices so your files print cleanly.
It is designed as a strong entry-level course for makers and prototyping professionals who want dependable, print-ready CAD skills.
